Services At CCAC
CCA
is a Full Gospel, New Testament Church; and as such it emphasizes
Worship and Praise, the teaching and practice of the Word of God
and the works of the Holy Spirit. In our services we look for the
anointing, the empowerment of God. From opening prayer to ministering
to the people needs, we rely on the Helper, the Holy Spirit (John
14:15-17, Phil.3:3). CCA holds two services on Sundays, one at 8:00
a.m. in English and one at 11:30 a.m. in French/Creole.
Sunday Services
Most Christians will readily agree that Sunday is the solemn day
for believers to gather for church service in the United States.
This is an important day for our church family as well. Your timely
presence and participation in Sunday services are crucial for the
professing of your faith and for your spiritual growth. We urge
you to be among us in these gatherings to offer your thanks, your
praise and worship to God and to be encouraged and instructed in
your walk with Christ.
Sunday School
Our
Sunday School program and materials are designed to help you grow
in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ and to bring you sound
understanding about your vocation as a Christian. You will receive
foundational and advanced bible teachings and will have the opportunity
to ask questions on spiritual matters and biblical subjects. Courses
are designed to make you discover your place in the body of Christ
and your role in the local church. Classes are held on Sundays from
10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Currently, the curriculum includes five courses:
Salvation I, Salvation II, Helps Ministry, Discipleship, and Church
History. Courses are taught in English and in French/Creole by experienced
monitors. Sunday School starts in September and ends in June. Students
are very enthusiastic and learn in an inviting environment. Registration
and tuitions fees are minimal. See School Superintendent for more
info.
Thursday Services
Thursday night is a time of deeper study of the Word of God. We
feed our spirit-man on practical advices from God’s manual
for success, the Bible. In these teaching sessions, we are edified
and blessed by the ministry of the Holy Spirit, by His knowledge
and revelation. Also, Thursday night is intercession night; as a
unified body, we go to the Throne of Grace to make supplications
for the World, our country, the church in general, and for our collective
and individual needs. Please do your best to participate in Thursday
night services and bring your spiritual contribution to the body
of Christ. If you must make some sacrifices or adjustments in your
schedule know that you will be doing it for God’s Kingdom
and will be enriched and blessed according to the Lord’s promises.
How are Services Conducted?
• Praise and Worship
CCA
church believes in praise and worship as its reasonable service
unto God and as a means for drawing His presence. The Word of God
declares that the Lord inhabits the praises of his people (Ps.22:3;
Ps.107:32). We also clap hands, sing and dance in the presence of
God expressing our thanks and our joy as we praise and worship the
Most High (Ps. 47; Ps. 98:1-6; Eph.5:19- 20; Col.3:15-17; 1 Thes.5:18).
•Speaking in tongues
You may see and hear people praying in other tongues. For the word
of God teaches that in speaking in tongue or praying in the Spirit
we give excellent thanks unto God. Tongues are part of the signs
that followthose who believed (Acts 2:4; Mk.16:16; 1Cor.14:15-17).
•Other manifestations of the Holy
Spirit
In our meetings, expect the manifestations of the Holy Spirit. For
instance, some believers may give messages in other tongues followed
by interpretations. There might be prophecies, words of wisdom,
words of knowledge; and at times miracles and healings may take
place as the Spirit will (1Cor.12:7-11).
•Demonstration of Spirit and Power
Expect the laying on of hands and people falling under the power
of the Holy Spirit. The
word of God says to lay hands on the sick and they shall recover.
If you come in sick expect to leave healed and well. CCA is a deliverance
church, meaning: we believe and practice casting out evil spirits
in our services as they manifest and as God leads. Evil spirits
are real beings and must be dealt with in the authority of Christ
and in the power of the Holy Ghost (1Cor.2:1-5; Mt.10:1; Mk.16.17
).
•Ministry of the Word
The Word of God is taught with power, wisdom and simplicity. Knowledge
and understanding of the Word is imperative for spiritual growth
and maturity. Believers are required to bring their bibles and read
out loud from Scripture. They are also encouraged to take notes
and to listen to teaching tapes, made available right after service.
The Word of God is the main source of knowledge and guidance. By
His Word God created all things and by his Word all things are sustained.
It is absolutely necessary for all beliefs, practices and convictions
be rooted in the everlasting and unchanging Word of God.
•Altar Calls
Invitations are given for people to come to the altar to receive
from God and to be ministered to. Many have been saved and received
the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and countless have received healing,
deliverance, direction and confirmation from the Lord in matters
of their personal lives and ministries. |
